Central Valley Young Entrepreneurs is made up of parents, teachers, mentors and entrepreneurs with a passion to empower children with the skills necessary to achieve their most ambitious goals. The program focuses on offering young individuals an opportunity to hone their passions and gifts under professional guidance, allowing them to experience the world of entrepreneurship alongside their peers.
Our curriculum ranges from interactive craft fairs that teach a range of business skills and core values to workshops on marketing and building authentic connections with customers. Our program also offers expert support in essential areas such as the art of communication, time management, negotiation, and collaboration.
Our mission is to continue to expand the learning opportunities, seeing great value for our curriculum not only within our organization but also in schools that prioritize critical thinking and the development of business acumen.
With the challenge to create their own startup business, kids develop a business-oriented, growth mindset from a young age. Through this process emerges interpersonal, leadership, problem solving and goal setting skills that will serve them well in their academic career, professional life and healthy relationships as they grow.
ROOTED IN EXPERIENCE
Our founder, Mykel Suntrapak, believes in the potential that entrepreneurship has to transform the lives of generations to come. As a mother, artist and entrepreneur, Mykel brings a wealth of experience and creative know-how. She speaks to the importance of developing an entrepreneurial skill set early in life, emphasizing the fun and empowering experience that developing their own products or services, packaging, and selling them to real customers can be for children.
