WHAT IS THE CHILDREN'S BUSINESS FAIR?

This event allows children to launch their very own startup business! Children ages 6-17 are invited to develop a brand, create a product or service, build a marketing strategy, and then open for customers during our two-day marketplace. Children will have the opportunity to participate as a vendor on Saturday, Sunday or both days.


The Children's Business Fair is a part of Clovis Fest, which attracts over 40,000 attendees over the two days. It's a lively event that spans over twelve city blocks featuring food, vendors, performances and a hot air balloon launch in the mornings. Being a part of this larger event allows the young entrepreneurs to hone their social skills and get comfortable explaining their products to real customers, not just friends and family.


CVYE is the official host for the Children's Business Fair of Fresno & Clovis. We are only one of over 300 cities to host a Children's Business Fair each year. It is a program built on the best practices of the founding organization, Acton Children's Business Fair, and we are proud to be a part of the largest entrepreneurship event for kids in North America.


Registration for the Children's Business Fair opens in July. Every young entrepreneur that participates in this event officially joins our young entrepreneur community with year-round support, connect with like-minded peers and participate in other events throughout the year. 



"Last year was our first year at the children's business fair and it was such an amazing experience. We were overwhelmed by the positive attention my daughter's business received. This was such a great learning experience for all of us and was an incredible confidence boost for my 13-year-old daughter. Selling her handmade crochet items and sharing her experience learning to crochet with others has really helped her to effectively communicate publicly. The children's business fair allowed her to grow her business and we can't wait for this year. My 11-year-old son has even started his own business making jewelry and is so excited to take part in this experience selling his own items. Overall, this is such a supportive way to get our children motivated and involved in all aspects of starting and running their own business. They are learning skills that will last a lifetime."
